A member of the Connecticut Bar Association, attorney Louis Rubano leverages more than two decades of experience to represent personal injury clients as partner at the Wallingford, Connecticut-based firm Webber and Rubano. During the summer, attorney Louis Rubano enjoys taking vacations with his family on Block Island.

Accessible via a short ferry ride from the Rhode Island coast, Block Island is an ideal summer getaway with multiple white sand beaches, pristine nature trails, and plenty of family-friendly activities. The island's main beach is a 15-minute walk from the ferry, but visitors can also choose to explore the island via bicycle or moped, both of which can be rented at various locations.

There are a number of shops and restaurants on the island, and its abundance of outdoor recreation activities and proximity to the water makes it perfect for a warm weather vacation. Popular water sports among visitors include surfing, kiteboarding, parasailing, and scuba diving. Equipment for these activities can be rented at local shops, some of which provide lessons and host summer camps.

Block Island is also a great destination for nature lovers. Named by The Nature Conservancy as one of the few remaining great sites in the western hemisphere, it features acres of open land as well as 28 miles of walking trails. Moreover, nearly half of the island is preserved. Popular outdoor locations include Mohegan Bluffs, Rodman's Hollow, Ocean View Pavilion, and Abrams Animal Farm.
